Sometimes in life, you just have to do what you know you are meant to do!

Helping people to be Happy at Work, is something that I have been passionate about for a long time.

Throughout my work as a Freelance Training and Career Consultant, and prior to that as a Training Manager, I was drawn to building elements of how to be happy at work into my courses and coaching.  That is whether the courses were about management training, building a business,  managing change or dealing with stress

  • I convinced managers that they had to be happy in their own work in order to stand any chance of inspiring their teams.
  • I motivated new and existing business owners to plan their business to create the life they wanted, rather than take away the life they had.
  • I inspired those who were encountering massive change or redeployment to rediscover their sense of fulfilment and security by making the change work for them.
  • I coached staff how to change their view of events at work, to reduce stress and realise how they could choose to be happy.

Realising you can choose to be happy can be quite challenging for many people.  Because it means it is really up to us.

I do meet resistance in my workshops both in Managing Change – Your Way and the Happy At Work Seminar because I am challenging people’s beliefs.  But it is amazing how the “penny slowly drops” during the events, and people change their outlook.

My Background

As an Associate Freelance Trainer and Coach for the last 10 years I have worked with a range of consultancies including Right Management.

This has allowed me to support a wide range of people of all levels in managing change and reducing stress.  The organisations I have dealt with have included:

Most High street banks, Insurance companies, FTSE 100 manufacturing and engineering companies, NHS, Utility companies, local and regional government and the legal profession.

I have provided Training and Coaching to a range of private clients, including Business Link and Yorkshire and Humber Assembly.

Prior to this I was employed as Personnel and Training Manager with Mazars Chartered Accountants (Yorkshire) and worked as part of the National Training Department with Price Waterhouse Coopers after qualifying there as a Chartered Accountant.
